Summertime

Summer is officially here!  I never get tired of all the fun that comes with summer.  Some of my favorite things about summertime include:

 Playing Outside

Enjoying cool treats

Trips to arts festivals

 

and playing with puppies that are for sale!

MS Ride v2.0

This weekend was the MS bike ride again!  This year Mom had registered for the event, but had to get 2 Cortisone shots in her foot 2 weeks before the ride.  So I decided to ride in her place, but only the 40 miles because I didn't have time to train for anything longer than that.  Let's be honest, I hadn't trained for the 40 miles but everything went well!  Mom decided a few days prior to the ride to come up anyway, so we rode together.

 We just had a good time and, thanks to the strong headwind those last 10 miles, we had a good workout too! 

Sharon and Kelly surprised us by meeting us at the 20 mile rest stop.  It was fun to see some smiling faces we knew.  They met us at the finish along with Alan, Faye and Greg.  It seemed to have been a good morning for everybody!

Dany and Tim

Our dear sweet Dany got married this week!  She and Tim had a lovely ceremony and reception in Grandpa Calvert's backyard.  This time Team Dudley Photography included an extra member, Heidi joined in on the fun.  This translates into well over 1000 photos to sort through, but here are a few of my favorite shots from the day:

It was a beautiful day!  Perfect for an outdoor wedding.  Sorry for all the random shots, but, again, we do have over a thousand to look through.

Tired Girl

Faye has a funny way of showing us when she's exhausted  (First few moments of this video clip):

I'm not sure why she likes to plow her head into the ground like this, but Alan and I definitely get a kick out of it.  The best part is that Faye's cousin, McKenzie, used to do the same thing when she was about this age:

 

Walkin' Girl

So we've been meaning to get a video of Faye walking up here for a while now, and here it is!  She's almost a pro at this point, still working on standing up with out support, but fast as can be!  Alan's betting Faye will be running within the next 2 weeks.  It's been so much fun to have her up and walking around.

Sidewalk Chalk

Faye and I have been enjoying the warm weather all day while Alan is stuck at work, poor kid.  Today's adventure included sidewalk chalk!  Granted I did most of the coloring, but I think Faye enjoyed the experience, too.

Somebody if finally getting her first tooth in! As such the chalk became a teething toy.

 

We had some fun in the sunshine, that's for sure!
