Elder Dudley
My brother Greg entered the Missionary Training Center this week an is headed to San Antonio, TX to spend the next two years of his life teaching about the Book of Mormon. We spend this past week with my family to get a few moments in with Greg and to take him to the MTC. We're pretty excited for him to serve, especially since Greg is the first missionary to go out on either side of my family!
We had to get a picture of Greg and Faye so we can see how much she grows in the next two years.
The "Welcome to the MTC" sign has been torn down, so this street sign was the only place we could find documentation of being outside the MTC. I love the missionary in the background who's taking a picture of us at the same time.

More 5 Month Pics
Faye at 5 Months: She's growing faster than ever before! I swear she's grown 2 inches and 2 pounds in the last week alone. Faye's just about sitting on her own, though she's still trying to sit up from laying down. She loves to be lifted in the air and to "fly" around!
Miss Hollers made this sweet little dinosaur jumper for Faye. We love it so!

Christmas Moments
Merry Christmas! Here are a few quick moments from our Christmas Day:
Alan helped Faye learn how to unwrap her present. Coincidentally, this was the only present under our tree that was wrapped in paper.
Church on Christmas was the most wonderful thing this year! We had to bring a clean baby, though. This is the first time I've ever felt guilty for saying bath time was over.
Faye's a pretty smart girl. Yes she loves to play with the water, but she understands that the handle makes the water turn on and off. If the water isn't on she spends most of the bath trying to reach the handle to turn it on.

Charlie Brown Christmas
I've had mixed feelings towards the upcoming holidays this year. Between family events, end of the semester for Alan, getting sick, spending each day at home with the wee one, and our small present budget it just hasn't felt like the holidays for me. I have been feeling so indifferent towards Christmas and the holiday season.
That all changed thanks to Charlie Brown. In attempts to have a Christmas atmosphere in our home tonight we watched Charlie Brown's Christmas. It helped me feel better about our very poor Christmas we'll be having this year. It's not about trimmings or presents, but about remembering the Savior and all that he has done for us. I'm excited to go to bed tonight and read the Nativity story again. Hopefully this year's humble Christmas will be something I'll always remember. I want to be able to help others who are less fortunate to have a Christmas that is warm and cheerful. Let it be written, and let it be done!

5 Months!
I can't believe Faye is already 5 months old! She's a doll and is learning to become more independent. She can now roll over, eat "solids," and hold a bottle on her own.
We managed to get a few 5 month pictures for Faye, but I forgot to bring the sign down to Riverton. So don't you worry, there will be more on the way!
Life of a little one!
I pulled out the camera to take a few pictures of Faye enjoying my Mom's livingroom:
Dear sweet Ann made Faye this darling Hello Kitty hat! I'm so excited for Faye to grow into it a bit. Thanks Ann!
